General Description
Blue lace agate mined in Nsanje, Malawi. The deposits produce a dynamic mix of blue to white chalcedony (sometimes banded) and crystalline geode-like or complex vug specimens. The lapidary work is done locally in South Africa, by Gary and his team! The material tends to have lovely crystalline exposures and complex shapes. A very nice and always popular stone type due to the stunning mix of banded white to blue colours. A small percentage of specimens may have Dog Tooth Calcite crystals in the geodes. This is selected and cleaned material. Shiny crystals in the vugs and on the plates make this very popular with a percentage of material sometimes having a clear drusy like coating on top of the crystalline Agate.
