MALACHITE PSEUDOMORPHS

Malachite Pseudomorph after Azurite with Chrysocolla and Plancheite

These specimens from Kolwezi in the Democratic Republic of Congo display silky botryoidal (ball-like) Malachite alongside bladed Malachite pseudomorphs after Azurite, preserving the original Azurite's sharp tabular to prismatic crystal outlines in rich emerald green velvety or fibrous forms. These are combined with sky-blue Chrysocolla coatings and fibrous white Plancheite, set against a cracked, porous matrix. The intricate pseudomorphic retention are characteristic of the Katanga copper belt finds; limited stock available for collectors.
