Quartz is perhaps one of the most common but also the most diverse, in terms of colour as well as associated inclusions. Madagascar yields some of the best Optic to near Optic Rock Crystal Quartz in the world. The clarity and transparency is always world class. You do have variables; internal veils, wispy or rainbow optic features between the pieces - transparency and translucency between pieces can also be variable. Colours also range from smokey, white, amethyst, smokey amethyst and various rarities in-between. Quartz must be by far the most diverse item in terms of pricing and grade as many factors impact its value. Nick selects each piece himself for quality material and precision craftmanship.
