Golden Rutile Rock Crystal Quartz Obelisk Clock Towers

Rutile is a titanium oxide mineral with a very high refractive index, found as an inclusion in quartz, as well as many other gems. It appears as needle or rod--like crystals which can be randomly scattered through a gem or as a denser mass of intertwined needles forming complex patterns.
