Banded Flower Malachite is a visually striking variety of Malachite, distinguished by its intricate patterns and lush green tones. This mineral features a combination of the classic banded structure of Malachite, with swirling, concentric rings of deep and light greens, and flower-like formations, which are often botryoidal or rosette-shaped. These “flower” patterns are caused by the way the mineral crystallizes in radiating clusters, resembling blossoms or petals.

The banding in Flower Malachite results from the layering of copper carbonate over time, giving the stone its characteristic wavy stripes. The contrast between the smooth bands and the textured, three-dimensional flower shapes creates a fascinating visual effect, making it a sought-after specimen.
