Pink Rubellite Tourmaline with Purple Lepidolite in Quartz and Feldspar Schist from Karibib, Namibia
Vivid Pink Rubellite Tourmaline forms striated prismatic crystals in glowing raspberry hues embedded in a schistose matrix of shimmering lilac to deep purple Lepidolite mica flakes, translucent milky quartz, and pale grey white Feldspar with cleavage planes; the Tourmaline shows strong vitreous lustre and internal zoning, contrasting sharply against the pearly, scaly purple Lepidolite and glassy Quartz, creating a textured multicolored specimen with bold pink highlights typical of Karibib pegmatite finds.
