An XL 217 x 233 x 298 mm natural Hematoid Quartz cluster with a polished base. This red-grey specimen displays multi terminated formations and small cascading crystals. A nice large aesthetic piece with character. Candle quartz type side crystals, interesting split crystal features on terminations and, at almost 30cm, is a pretty big, impressive display cluster.

Red Hematoid Quartz from Zambia is distinguished by its vibrant red to orange hues, caused by inclusions of Hematite and Iron Oxide within the crystal structure. Sourced from regions like Karoi, this striking stone often forms in clusters, nodules, or points, displaying a mix of translucent to opaque quartz with vivid, specular, or phantom-like red inclusions. Known by the Zambian locals as Fire Quartz, These specimens are particularly noted for their robust quality and similarity to material from the renowned Orange River deposits.
