Stunning Window Amethyst Quartz from Ambatondrazaka
The deposits in Madagascar produce exceptional Window Amethyst Quartz, reminiscent of the renowned Brandberg Quartz from Namibia. These quartz specimens exhibit variable clarity and amethyst color intensity, often featuring darker smoky sections. Phantoms and inclusions of specular or needle-like Lepidocrocite are commonly found.
Natural specimens are rare, with most material being polished. Polished points range from small to medium in size, while larger polished pieces are uncommon. The material is graded based on the complexity of inclusions, color patterns, and optic intensity.
