Quartz Crystals from Serenje, Zambia 
Quartz crystals and clusters from Serenje, Central Province, Zambia, form as clear to semi-optic or near-optic points and groups, often with sharp terminations, excellent clarity in transparent sections, and occasional light smoky, Hematoid (reddish iron oxide inclusions), or tangerine hues from trace elements like Limonite. These specimens typically occur as single prismatic crystals, dense clusters with multiple intergrown points, or complex arrangements on minor matrix, mined from pegmatite deposits in the basement complex where quartz crystallizes in zoned pockets alongside feldspar and mica; many display high lustre, rainbow inclusions in some pieces, and range from small points to large cabinet-sized clusters and crystals with good overall form and transparency.
