General Description
Approx. 4 - 6 pieces per batch. A very nice range of hand made free forms which are pre populated into 2kg batches having a mix of colour range and sizes. The material ranges from a dark redish purple to a rich deep purple, and specular material in-between. We have specifically selected and mixed the batches to include the diversity of material available in the deposits. Generally Speaking - Lepidolite is a lilac-grey or rose-coloured member of the Mica group of minerals. It is the most abundant Lithium-bearing mineral and is a secondary source of this metal. It is a phyllosilicate mineral and a member of the polylithionite-trilithionite series. A lovely Lepidolite from a new mine in Zimbabwe. The material is then polished to perfection in SA. A very nice range of red to purple colour which is consistent across the pieces. This is top quality selected material for richness of colour. This is very funky material and is not commonly available from other regions.
