An XL 334 x 242 x 74 mm rare, beautiful, and highly polished ashtray, this material is often used to craft decorative Malachite . It has a flaw line across the centre, but this is natural and is a character trait rather than a fault. The result is a striking, polished display ashtray that showcases the stone’s rich green banding while preserving its integrity. This would be a good piece to fit into a wooden base, as it has an uneven lump at the base, but is a large (rare) and beautiful piece and well priced as kit should be at least R5400 at current rough malachite prices, especially for larger sizes. Banded Flower Malachite is a visually striking variety of Malachite, distinguished by its intricate patterns and lush green tones. This mineral features a combination of the classic banded structure of Malachite, with swirling, concentric rings of deep and light greens, and flower-like formations, which are often botryoidal or rosette-shaped. These “flower” patterns are caused by the way the mineral crystallizes in radiating clusters, resembling blossoms or petals.
