A tray of matching triplets of golden tan coloured petrified wood slices from Mahajanga, Madagascar. It looks like this was cut from the exact same log. Each slice has natural vugs filled with golden drusy quartz.
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Petrified Wood from Madagascar
Petrified Wood from Madagascar is fossilised ancient tree material where the organic wood has been replaced by minerals such as silica, iron, and manganese. All of this petrified wood comes from Podocarpus trees with the scientific name Podocarpus podocarpus. The brown petrified wood comes from the Mahajanga region, while the red petrified wood comes from the Marovoay area. It shows rich, earthy red and brown hues with well-preserved wood grain and structure and natural crystalline vug cavities.
