These Polished Specimen Plates of Mtorolite are made from extremely rare and expensive material...rough was selling at as much as $90 per lb at shows for the nice translucent Emerald Green thicker material. We have tried to take the nicely coloured thin material directly from the mine in Zimbabwe (and this plate is XL for Mtorolite) and make a more affordable specimen from this scarce material and polish into a plate, often with vugs and crystallisation, making something that you wouldn't normally be able to find anywhere else.

Mtorolite: The Exquisite Chrome Chalcedony from Zimbabwe

Emerald Mtorolite is a rare, vibrant green variety of Chrome Chalcedony found only in Zimbabwe. Its color ranges from deep forest green to a lighter emerald hue, caused by trace amounts of Chromium within its structure. This unique mineral is typically opaque with a glassy to waxy luster and is prized for its rich color, often mistaken for Jade due to its resemblance. This is often sold as STAR CHRYSOPRASE or EMERALD CHRYSOPRASE, but is a very unique Chrome coloured Chalcedony, rather than the Nickel coloured normal Chrysoprase on the market.
