A large flat of 35 polished mini red petrified wood slices from Marovoay, Madagascar. These slices show rich, earthy red with wood grain. It is fossilised ancient Podocarpus tree material with the scientific name Podocarpus podocarpus, some of these slices have vug cavities.

Petrified Wood from Madagascar 
Petrified Wood from Madagascar is fossilised ancient tree material where the organic wood has been replaced by minerals such as silica, iron, and manganese. All of this petrified wood comes from Podocarpus trees with the scientific name Podocarpus podocarpus. The brown petrified wood comes from the Mahajanga region, while the red petrified wood comes from the Marovoay area. It shows rich, earthy red and brown hues with well-preserved wood grain and structure and natural crystalline vug cavities.
