PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Lemur Island Crystal Geodes from Madagascar
Lemur Island crystal geodes from Madagascar are druzy quartz or agate-lined geodes sourced from the Nosy Varika area on the east coast, often showing sparkling crystal linings in clear, golden, Hematoid, or purple hues with occasional chalcedony or agate banding. The material comes from volcanic and sedimentary deposits on the island known locally as Lemur Island due to its abundant lemur populations. Madagascar itself separated from Africa around 160 million years ago and became isolated, allowing unique lemur species to evolve after ancestral primates rafted across the Mozambique Channel approximately 50-60 million years ago.
