PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Malachite Stalactites from Kolwezi and Likasi, Congo
Natural malachite stalactites sourced from Kolwezi and Likasi in the Democratic Republic of Congo, formed in underground copper mines with concentric growth layers of rich emerald to forest-green banded malachite displaying classic botryoidal surfaces and velvety chatoyancy. These hollow or solid tubular formations exhibit smooth polished cross-sections when cut, revealing alternating light and dark green rings; full stalactites range from small finger-sized pieces to larger specimens, all showing the characteristic fibrous radial structure typical of Katanga copper belt secondary mineralization. Limited stock available directly from Congolese mines.
