PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Rose Quartz From Zimbabwe
Zimbabwean Rose Quartz is a pink variety of microcrystalline Quartz, coloured by trace amounts of Titanium, Iron, and Manganese within the crystal structure. Unlike most Quartz varieties it rarely forms well-defined individual crystals, instead occurring as large massive deposits within granitic pegmatites and hydrothermal veins. Zimbabwe produces Rose Quartz with a consistently warm, medium-pink tone and good translucency, making it particularly well-suited for cutting and polishing into display forms. These standing pieces have been shaped and polished to a smooth finish that allows light to pass through the stone and illuminate its characteristic soft pink hue.
