Malagasy Cristobalite Drusy Quartz Cristobalite is a rare high-temperature polymorph of silicon dioxide, sharing the same chemical composition as Quartz but forming a distinct crystal structure at temperatures above 1470°C. These Madagascan specimens present as snow-white microcrystalline Cristobalite and Drusy Quartz coatings over Quartzite and Agate bases, with multiple finger-like crystal formations covered in a sparkling drusy surface. The contrast between the bright white drusy crust and the smooth base matrix makes these particularly striking display pieces.
