A large flat of 12 expertly polished semi translucent Girasol Rock Crystal with dark green Epidote crystal inclusions from Madagascar. Very unusual Girasol variant. Hand picked from our last visit to Madagascar.

Beautiful Epidote in Girasol Quartz From Madagascar 
Malagasy Epidote in Girasol Quartz  Girasol Quartz is a translucent to semi-transparent variety of Quartz characterised by a soft internal blue-white adularescent glow when light passes through it, and Madagascar is one of its finest known sources worldwide. Within these specimens, needle-like crystals of Epidote a calcium aluminium iron Sorosilicate have been included during the Quartz's formation, creating vivid green inclusions suspended in the milky white matrix. Epidote forms in metamorphic and hydrothermal environments and its presence as an inclusion in Quartz is relatively uncommon, making these combination pieces particularly collectible. The contrast between the deep pistachio-green Epidote needles and the soft luminous Quartz host makes for an exceptionally attractive display or lapidary specimen.
