Bastite is a fascinating combination of Epidote and Piedmontite, showcasing the geological complexity and rarity of this material. Piedmontite, a member of the Epidote group, displays hues ranging from red to reddish-brown or red-black, with a vitreous luster and a distinctive red streak. Epidote, often found in metamorphic rocks like Marble and Schistose formations, results from hydrothermal alterations in various igneous rocks.
