A gorgeous pair of rare 8th Vein Ocean Jasper crystals. One of them is a 24cm red and green polished crystal and the other is a smaller crystal with soft pinks, purple, blue and peach. Both of them have natural vugs.
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Ocean Jasper: Madagascar’s Coastal Gem
Ocean Jasper from the Marovato coastal deposits, northwest Madagascar (only known source, mining ceased ~2015, current stock is from old production), occurs in Orbicular, Brecciated, and Drusy varieties, all showing multicolored concentric orbs, eyes, and banding in green, yellow, pink, red, white, brown, and black on translucent to opaque Chalcedony Quartz matrix. Main types: (1) Classic Orbicular with tight, high-contrast bullseye orbs and strong color zoning; (2) Flower Orbicular displaying poppy-like radial orb clusters; (3) Breccia with angular fragments recemented in vivid matrix; (4) Drusy lined vug with sparkling quartz crystal pockets; (5) Banded with parallel color veins and occasional fortification patterns.
