A tray of 12 natural Goethite coated Blacknite Quartz crystals. This rare Blacknite Quartz crystals from a single known deposit in Madagascar features densely intergrown clear to translucent quartz points partially coated in a metallic Ferro Goethite and Hematite layer, producing a striking gun metal black to silvery sheen with subtle iridescent flashes of pink, purple, and blue; contrasting earthy reddish brown matrix accents highlight the sharp terminations and crystalline texture.

Rare Blacknite Quartz From Madagascar 
Blacknite Quartz stands out for its exceptional beauty, featuring a distinctive metallic coating of ferro Goethite and Hematite, often with iridescent colours and slight Cu content. One large pocket was found 7 or 8 years ago from the Ambositra/Ivato area in Central Madagascar,  but we have seen very little to none since then.  This sometimes displays shades of blue  (Bornite content) pink, purple (Covelline), black, and an iridescent patina. The patina varies in both quantity and quality, with some specimens showing partial coatings that reveal stunning white crystals, ranging from small to medium-sized, intricately arranged in dense formations. This remarkable material is a coveted find for collectors, offering a singular addition to any collection. Pricing is based on grade, not by weight.
