A tray of 4 Banded Agate with gorgeous crystalline geodes. Polished on the edges and rough at the back with beautiful crystalline centres. One of them has a very delicate pale Amethyst tinge inside of the geode. Very nice!
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Agate Geodes from Madagascar
Agate geodes from Madagascar are nodules of banded Chalcedony that form in volcanic rock. They are sourced from locations including Nosy Varika and Maintirano as well as other areas in the country. They are available in natural form, polished on one side to display the interior, or fully polished. These geodes typically show concentric banding in shades of white, grey, brown, pink, and orange, often with Quartz crystal centres. Madagascar is a primary source, along with Brazil, Uruguay, Mexico, and other volcanic regions worldwide. Agate is a variety of microcrystalline quartz known for its durability, smooth texture, and natural patterns formed by mineral-rich groundwater.
