General Description
Absolutely stunning crystalline Blue Lace Agate and Blue Chalcedony from Malawi. The material is bathed in acid for extended periods of time which removes the majority or all traces of matrix. Therefore, only pure Blue Lace Agate and/or Blue Chalcedony remains, often with Pyrite on the surfaces of the etched material. This is lovely material with stunningly complex features. A percentage of crystalline material also have Dog Tooth Calcite crystals in association. The removal of the matrix makes this material very light weight by halving the weight per kg of the matrix based specimens. The rough material comes from Nsanje, Malawi whilst the acid preparation is done locally in South Africa. Price is grade dependant. Item/s are as shown.Product Data
