Shattuckite, scientifically known as Cu5(SiO3)4(OH)2, embodies the essence of its mineral composition, crystallizing within the orthorhombic–bipyramidal crystal system. Typically found in a granular massive form, it also manifests as fibrous acicular crystals, closely resembling the structure and appearance of plancheite. The name Shattuckite pays homage to its discovery site, the Shattuck Mine located in Bisbee, Arizona, USA. Our curated specimens, however, hail from diverse deposits scattered across the landscapes of Namibia.
