PRODUCT INFORMATION

General Description

Lesotho Mountain Quartz, or as we like to call them, "Snow Fingers." These extraordinary formations are crystalline-coated hollow fingers, displaying stalagmitic, sceptre, and botryoidal pseudomorph drusy quartz forms that have developed after Calcite. Some even feature central Dogtooth Calcite crystals, nestled within these hollow structures, which themselves were once the encasing shells of dispersed calcite. This discovery is both new and exceptionally beautiful, and we eagerly await what else will emerge from Albert's Mountain in Lesotho. Albert, a dedicated member of the Puti Tribe and a longstanding contributor to Toprock for several decades, has risen from being a ground-level worker to the esteemed head rock cleaner, overseeing a small team. Prior to the disruptions caused by the Covid pandemic, Albert occasionally ventured into the Lesotho highlands to mine for quartz, unearthing exceptional specimens, including vivid orange stilbite and remarkable spear-shaped hollow quartz fingers. This latest batch of material marks the first mining effort since the pandemic, offering a unique and exquisitely beautiful addition to any collection, proudly sourced from Albert's Mountain. As we move forward, we anticipate witnessing more remarkable discoveries from the highland Kingdom of Lesotho in the coming months and years. These specimens are not only collectible but also a testament to the beauty and wonder of the natural world. Price is grade dependant. Item/s are as shown.
