Polished On One Side Emerald Mtorolite Plate x 1 From Mutorashanga, Zimbabwe
A NOTE FROM NICK
Large Polished Display Specimen Plate of rare Mtorolite (AKA Emerald or Star Chrysoprase) . natural on back showing of its chalcedony crystallisation character. This material is expensive at the only mine that it comes from in Mutorashanga in Zimbabwe. It also doesn't always photograph one and is generally much more emerald in colour than gets picked up on the lens. We have picked the thinner pieces, often with crystalline vugs to make an affordable specimen piece from this otherwise extremely costly and rare gemstone type.
