Leopard Stone, a distinctive serpentine gem sourced from a few small mines in the Nyanga region of eastern Zimbabwe. Named for its striking black spots against a pale background, Leopard Stone features a visually stunning effect with its varying intensities of green and contrasting black patterns, particularly eye-catching spots. This remarkable gem is celebrated for its harmonious color blend and unique patterns, making it an exceptional geological wonder. Although Leopard Stone has ancient origins and a rich history in traditional Shona art carvings, the classical art of polishing it had faded over time. Recently, expert Zimbabwean lapidaries have revived this meticulous polishing process, reintroducing the gem to the modern market.
