General Description
Aventurine is a form of quartz, characterised by its translucency and the presence of platy mineral inclusions that give a shimmering or glistening effect termed aventurescence. The most common colour of aventurine is green, but it may also be orange, brown, yellow, blue, or grey. Aventurine is known from many different locations across the world but our polished pieces are made using material sourced from Pietersburg, South Africa. The colour is rich with a good level of chatoyancy and shimmer from the material when polished. Various polished types are available including points and hopefully spheres in future.
