PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Exceptionally Rare & Stunning Shattuckite From Namibia
Introducing our exceptionally rare and breathtaking Shattuckite mined exclusively by us in Namibia. These remarkable specimens undergo meticulous local polishing in South Africa by the skilled hands of Gary, ensuring each piece is a true masterpiece.
Shattuckite, a captivating copper silicate hydroxide mineral, is celebrated for its crystalline structure within the orthorhombic – bipyramidal crystal system. Typically found in granular massive forms and fibrous acicular crystals, Shattuckite closely resembles Plancheite in appearance. Named after its discovery at the Shattuck Mine in Bisbee, Arizona, USA, our specimens are sourced from various deposits across Namibia, offering an array of color intensities, from light to deep blue.
Some pieces showcase unique botryoidal, needle-like, or fibrous structures, and our new deposit even yields cauliflower-like specimens often associated with Duftite. Additionally, we occasionally acquire matrix material containing minerals like Chrysocolla, Malachite, and Azurite, adding further depth and variety to our collection.
We take pride in offering professionally polished Shattuckite, primarily in the form of points or free forms. Our dedication to bringing more polished material to the market ensures that collectors and enthusiasts can continuously explore the allure of Shattuckite in its most refined form.
Enhance your collection with these remarkable and rare Shattuckite specimens, each one a testament to the beauty of nature and the artistry of meticulous craftsmanship.
