Limonite Quartz from Zambia
Limonite Quartz, also known as Golden Healer Quartz, is a variety of Quartz recognized for its golden yellow hues and distinctive honeycomb matrix. The golden coloration is typically caused by a Limonite patina, which can sometimes be removed; however, in most instances, Limonite forms as an inclusion within the quartz, creating a permanent color. Zambian Limonite forms intricate vug-like pockets within a lightweight host honeycomb matrix, enhancing its unique appearance.
