Kyanite, a distinctive blue aluminosilicate mineral, is primarily found in aluminum-rich metamorphic pegmatites and sedimentary rock. Its presence in metamorphic rocks typically indicates high-pressure conditions, often exceeding four kilobars. Our Kyanite crystals are sourced from the renowned Karoi deposits in Zimbabwe, where they occur in fissures frequently filled with striking black mica.
The crystal sizes in our collection range from small to medium, with less than 5% of the deposits yielding larger specimen-grade crystals. Known for its captivating rich blue hue, Zimbabwean Kyanite is highly sought after for jewelry making and has gained popularity in the alternative healing market.
