Drusy coated Chrysocolla with Malachite on a Dolomite matrix from the Lupoto Mine in Congo is a captivating mineral specimen featuring a shimmering layer of tiny, blue-green Chrysocolla crystals atop vibrant green Malachite, both resting on a light-colored Dolomite base. Hailing from the copper-rich Katanga Copper Crescent in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, these specimens showcases the stunning interplay of Copper Silicate (Chrysocolla) and Copper Carbonate (Malachite), formed through oxidation processes in the region’s deposits.
