Natural Botryoidal Malachite Specimens x 2 From Congo
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Pair of Nice, Gnarly Crystalline Botryoidal Malachite Specimens with Blue Chrysocolla Underneath, making for two very nice interesting cabinet specimens.
Botryoidal Malachite from the Congo is a variety of Malachite found in the oxidized zones of Copper deposits, known for its distinctive, rounded, bubble-like formations that resemble grape clusters. This rich green Copper Carbonate mineral is highly valued for its smooth, often semi-crystalline surface, displaying concentric and ring patterns in varying shades of green. Some specimens even exhibit chatoyancy on the "meaty" part of the matrix, making them highly sought after for lapidary work and designer jewelry. However, it's important to appreciate their natural beauty and avoid cutting up exceptional specimens.
