The Watermelon Fluorite deposits in Uis, Namibia showcase a remarkable array of blue, green, and purple hues, occasionally adorned with intriguing quartz intrusive exposures. This extraordinary deposit, discovered by Toprock Namibia nearly two decades ago, has recently come to life with active mining operations. Explore the depths of this deposit to unveil plates measuring 30 to 60 centimetres in thickness, extending up to 15 meters below the surface. Within this geological wonder, specific sections yield gem-quality green specimens, although they may exhibit a somewhat narrower spectrum of colours. This kaleidoscopic gemstone, renowned for its unique colour combinations, is affectionately known as Watermelon Fluorite.
