General Description
Carnelian is an orange-coloured variety of Chalcedony, a mineral of the Quartz family. Its colour varies from pale pinkish-orange to a deep rusty brown, though it is most known for its brilliant orange and red-orange colour. It owes its red to reddish brown colour to colloidally dispersed hematite (iron oxide) The material occurs with banded patterns and white to peach coloured intrusive Quartz-like areas. A very nice range of small nodules which are all intact and ideal for wraps!This unique line of pendants are all locally manufactured. The copper wire wraps are all uniquely made in Kwa-Zulu Natal, South Africa. A very beautiful range of pendants which are all unique and practically one of a kind copper jewellery pieces.
