In ancient times the Romans called Amethyst "Amethystos" meaning "Not Drunk". They believed you could drink all night long without getting a hangover if you kept a piece in your mouth or wore it as a pendant. This material is sourced in the spirit quartz bearing deposits of North Western South Africa. The colour is deep and intense with rich beautiful colour and most often gemmy clarity! Its not spirit quartz, but its beautiful and affordable. This is a new resource we hope to make more readily available at a reasonable price. Price is grade dependant. Items are as shown.Product Data
