PRODUCT INFORMATION

General Description

A very unique new deposit which has a banded-like colour distribution which is similar in some respects to Fuchsite Quartz, but is certainly Aventurine with some yellow to off-white banded like features on some specimens. Material is also very similar looking to Verdite but Verdite is much softer and not Quartz-like as this particular Aventurine deposit is. Very unique material with a very different look and feel, beautiful new deposit. Generally speaking , Aventurine is a form of Quartz, characterised by its translucency and the presence of platy mineral inclusions that give it a shimmering or glistening effect termed aventurescence. The most common colour of aventurine is green, but it may also be orange, brown, yellow, blue, or grey. Aventurine is known from many different locations across the world but our polished pieces are made using material sourced from Pietersburg, South Africa. The colour is rich with a good level of chatoyancy and shimmer from the material when polished. Various polished types are available including points and hopefully spheres in future. Price is grade dependant. Item/s are as shown.
