PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Rare Purple Metallic Purpurite
Purpurite is a stunningly beautiful Metallic Purple Manganese based Rare Gemstone with exquisite colour and flash. It is a Manganese-Iron Phosphate mineral with varying amounts of Iron. Purpurite often forms with Heterosite, FePO4. We mine Purpurite ourselves in Namibia and it is quite a complicated procedure to get it to look as good as these do. Purpurite doesn't form crystals but rather occurs as a beautiful metallic chatoyancy in veins and along fracture plains of the host rock.
