Shattuckite From Kaokoveld, Namibia
Shattuckite specimen from the Kaokoveld region, Kunene Province, Shattuckite with it's intense azure blue color and silky lustre, formed through supergene oxidation of primary copper sulphides in Proterozoic metasedimentary host rocks; common inclusions, include Malachite, Chrysocolla, and Bornite reflecting typical secondary copper silicate and carbonate paragenesis in silica-rich microenvironments of the oxidized zone.
