Rare Purpurite: (Heterosite )A Stunning Gem from Namibia.  Gorgeous Purpurite, a rare Manganese Iron Phosphate mineral known for its vibrant colors of deep violet purple to brownish-black. Its standout feature is the metallic chatoyancy that shimmers along its veins and fractures.  These are high-quality pieces, all with nice metallic luster. We mined this material ourselves from the only good commercial supply of this fairly scarce material in Erongo, Namibia.
