Natural Drusy Salrose on Dolomite Matrix Specimens x 3 From Kakanda, Congo
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Drusy Dolomite Coated Salrose and Malachite specimens
Salrose, from the French for ‘Salt Rose,’ is a stunning pink mineral from Congo. Often mislabeled as Pink Calcite or Cobalt Calcite, Salrose is usually Cobaltion Dolomite or Calcite. It’s tricky to tell these apart, especially in microcrystalline forms, so Salrose serves as a catch-all term. Specimens can feature Silky Malachite, Chrysocolla, Heterogenite, Kaolinite, and Malachite Spheroids. While some show copper-based minerals, others do not. The mineral’s pink hues come from Cobalt, ranging from soft milky pink to rare, deep gemmy pink.
