It is REALLY Hard to find some of this nice, old style Orbicular ocean jasper of any size, let alone this Giant Beauty. Ocean jasper is almost impossible to get hold of now, especially this orbicular patterned material. (This Orbicular patterned old ROUGH material was selling at $0.50c per gram at Gem shows years ago!) This one is over 16kg.

Ocean Jasper: Madagascar’s Coastal Gem

Ocean Jasper, a vibrant orbicular jasper from Madagascar’s northwest coast, is a variety of chalcedony composed primarily of Silicon Dioxide with inclusions of Quartz,  Agate, and trace minerals like Iron or Hematite, creating its signature colorful patterns. Found only in specific coastal deposits, it boasts swirling orbs, bands, and druzy pockets in hues of green, white, pink, red, and yellow. Its unique patterns, often resembling ocean waves or landscapes. In essence, Ocean Jasper is a distinct, visually striking type of Orbicular Jasper, prized for its vivid colors, unique patterns, and limited availability from Madagascar.
