Agate and crystalline agate are a fairly staple product from Madagascar. The agate is sourced country wide and mostly polished in Antananarivo. The material ranges from banded grey and white to dendritic black spotted and fortification features with crystals from clear, white or pale, to bright purple Amethyst. The nodules are either cut in half to expose the geode or crystalline surface or polished as close to natural as possible and cut to stand. These are very different from standard Brazilian dyed material, with colours all being natural. Only the top 20% of material is selected in Madagascar. Price is grade dependent. Items are as shown.
