Froijite / Foitite is a form of Schorl tourmaline which has a fan like crystal habit! This is a fairly new reoccurrence from the region. This not a commonly available tourmaline specimens as majority of regional material occur as single crystals or clusters of single crystals with classic Mercedes terminations else classic Trigonal crystals with acicular like terminations. This new Froijite material reminds me of black kyanite in many respects with distinctive fan like clusters. Stunning NEW unique specimens for the collectors.
