Some specimens contain inclusions of fine goethite needles, appearing as dark acicular strands or sprays within or on the quartz surfaces. These originate from pegmatite or hydrothermal vein deposits in the North-Western Province near Mwinilunga, where iron-rich fluids introduce the goethite during quartz crystallization..

ASSOCIATED MINERALS
Quartz, Goethite

ASSOCIATED FEATURES
Trigonal, Hexagonal, Igneous Rock

ASSOCIATED COLOURS
Clear, Optic, Black

MOHS HARDNESS SCALE
7

PRODUCT DATA
Locality = Mwinilunga, Zambia
Grade = Good Grade
Size = 163 - 171 mm
