General Description
The white cascading quartz (Kitana) coming from Madagascar at the moment has a lovely habit and produces a wide range of larger single specimens and complex plate like specimens. The material shows larger single points with loads of smaller points cascading around the primary point in large single specimens. Whilst in plate like specimens the size of the individual crystals ranges in size from small to medium in dense clusters. There are variable layers shown in the material with often the top layer being optic to near optic in clarity and thus showing phantom like features due to the more cloudy lower layers. This is a very nice deposit which in many respects has features similar to cactus quartz. Not all perfect, but highly selected and mostly intact else with minor damage. All perfectly cleaned in acid, only a small % of the material has been left natural which sometimes results in a white patina like coating on some specimens. Price is grade dependant.
