Recently, the region has produced mostly clear to smokey cascading quartz with well-defined phantoms, while its famous counterpart, Citrine has become increasingly rare. The crystals from Luena are characterized by subtle smokey tones and intricate phantom layers within the quartz. Located in a highly remote area, access to the Luena deposits is challenging. Transporting the material down the mountainside on motorbikes adds further difficulty, making it difficult to prevent specimen breakage.

ASSOCIATED MINERALS
Quartz

ASSOCIATED FEATURES
Cascading, Phantom, Optic, Multi-Terminated

ASSOCIATED COLOUR
Smokey, Clear

MOHS HARDNESS SCALE
7

PRODUCT DATA
Locality = Luena, Congo
Grade = Very Good to A Grade
Size = 225 x 126 x 135 mm

https://www.toprocks.com/products/natural-large-cascading-white-phantom-smokey-clear-luena-quartz-cluster-x-1-from-luena-congo
