A very nice new range of carved animals from Zimbabwe including various forms of Rhino, Hippo and tortoises. The material being used includes Lepidolite, Verdite, Butter Jade and other locally sourced rocks. Zimbabwe used to be the heart of stone and wood carvings in Africa, but due to the complex political situation in the country, the skill and market has near collapsed. This is our way to support the continuation of art and carving in the region in hope to aiding this artistic field to survive well into the future. Price is grade dependant.
