General Description
A very rare and collectible locality! This is the region from which the Ajoite was mined many decades ago! Highly selected rough material which is then polished to perfection in South Africa, in a Malagasy owned workshop! Generally Speaking - Chrysocolla has a cyan (blue-green) colour and is a minor ore of Copper. The material has a wide range of hardness between 2.5 to 7.0. It is of secondary origin and forms in the oxidation zones of copper ore bodies hances its availability from the Messina Copper Mine dump deposits. It is typically found as botryoidal or rounded masses and crusts, but these polished items are made from vein fillings matrix material. Price is grade dependant. Items are as shown.Product Data
